Postby Neale Watson » Mon Sep 08, 2008 5:54 am

I have a discus that only seems interested in flake food I have tried beefheart brineshrimp but doesnt seem very interested in these and all I seem to do is vacuum it up
Is this fine or should I be making more effort with the beefheart

Hi Neale :welcome:

Discus is not usually picky in its food but it takes som presuading some times.. But as a answere to your question...you do not have to feed your discus beefheart...You can feed it other foods.. As long as you variate the food..

Flake food is fine as long as it's good quality and well in date!...I use Beefheart flakes as well although i'm not sure if the high price you have to pay for them is worth it  I second the comment before though, try and mix your flake feeding with other foods like daphnia etc
