Hi Afshin :welcome:

Increase the air flow of the air stone you place NEAR but NOT :nono: touching the eggs while the wire mesh is protecting the eggs... remember that Andrew advised you to place air stone close enough so that O2 rich air would circulate around the eggs but NOT have the air stone so close or the air bubbling so strong that the air touched the eggs  Provided this is done, then the quote by Andrew will be very true... that all the eggs fertilised by the male will not fungus.

When is it too late to use MB? My red melons seem to spawn whenever I'm not home. So by the time I get home itÂ’s been about 5-8 hours since they have spawned. Can I still use the MB?

Thanks David

Hello Jim,

You can get it from me direct. Just PM me your needs.

The only problem is that Australia custom is very strict...even for animal supplements.

The last time I shipped to Ben Moore....I have to smuggle it...ha!ha!ha!...like drugs.

Take care,
Andrew

Hi can you use malachite green instead of malachite blue?

Hi David :welcome:

Malachite green would be rather too strong I am afraid. Methylene blue is much more gentle and actually increases O2 level a bit .. so has nearly zero impact on the eggs / embryos ... Malachite green also tends to stay in the tissues of the treated animal ... which is why we now try to avoid its use. Formalin is also used... many products with "branded" names available where Methylene blue is not available.
