CO2 and Oxygen

Can you inject CO2 and use bubbles via a wand or stone at the same time or is this a self defeating process.

Hi Pat, you answered your own question bud. best to have a little surface agitation to help gaseous exchange.

Hi Guys :welcome:

CO2 leaves water faster/easier than O2 so air stone or wander / bubbler set to high/showy can "outgas" the CO2 just as fast as we get CO2 "dissolved" into the water. Fresh water can and does hold both gases safely for fish and plants, so a "moderate" agitation of surface should not be "self defeating".... but again... think in terms of "bottom water to top of tank" rather than "splashing at the surface".
